What brought you to work or get interested in the Congress’ fields?

I have studied Leibniz for many years.  With Leibniz I tasted the wisdom which arises from the fascinating mixture of Science and Philosophy. I decided to dedicate myself to Philosophy of Science. I had the chance of creating the Center for Philosophy of Science of Lisbon University, the only research center on philosophy of science in Portugal. I have been its coordinator for several years. And I am very happy for having the opportunity of coming to Nancy with me a team of 6 colleagues.

What has your participation to the Congress brought you?

It was a very intense moment. To enter in this community and to recognize that philosophy of science may have such great meaning. I enjoyed also very much to see at work Prof. Heinzemann’s generous smile and care.

What is your opinion about your portrait?

The photo is excellent, of high technical and artistic quality.  But I am an old woman and that is without escape. However, when looking at myself in the photo I am still able to see in my eyes some youth and joy I feel in my soul.
